Just a couple more tumblers I made.....

This first tumbler I made for my friends birthday gift. I included a Starbucks gift card with it. She is a good friend from junior high, we reconnected several years ago.  She made my day when she opened it. She said she had seen my tumblers on my FB page and hoped I'd make her one. How awesome is that?!

And this is my latest creation, a birthday gift for my sister Michelle. She along with her husband and son ride Ducati motorycles and she is really proud of that, so I thought this would be perfect for her.
She said it was her favorite gift!
What a compliment! Makes me a happy crafter.

Another awesome Paper Girls swap.......

In June we swapped birthday cards for a child. Boy or girl, our choice. So I did half and half. My original thought was to use real Popsicle sticks but I thought it might look weird having them glued to the back of the card so I used a woodgrain background stamp Versamark ink. I like the results. The Popsicle SVG is from the Summer Treats collection at Lettering Delights. I added the faces and speech bubbles to their card base.

The boy cards....

Miriams Crafting Blog Challenge #2

Miriams challenge for this month is to make a something using buttons. I made this birthday card for an online friend and mailed it off to her with a custom tumbler I made as well. She really liked the card and I hope you do too!

You can learn how to submit your own project here: Miriams Crafting Blog Challenge #2

I know it's only got one button, but I thought it was too cute not to share. lol

I love vinyl!

I discovered vinyl recently.......it's officially an obsession. lol I've done a couple home decor projects and more recently picked up some outdoor vinyl so I could do some graphics for my car but instead I've been having fun making custom tumblers instead. These are the ones I made so far.....the first two tumblers were end of the school year gifts for my sons bus drivers, the last one was a birthday gift for a friend. Then I made a coffee mug for my friend Linda who is a HUGE fan of the Time Bandit of Deadliest Catch fame. I made a custom jar for my cousins awesome homemade bbq sauce, now I need to make HIM one.

*Looks around the house to see what I can vinyl up next! lol*

New Swap Stuffs!

I'm in another fabulous swap in the new "Paper Girls" swap group on Facebook. There were two again this month so I gave them both a try.....altered clothespins and Project Life filler cards. I don't do Project Life but I might eventually so I figured why not. lol

I am in love with Graphic 45's "On The Boardwalk" collection. It's an oldie but a goodie. Summer's coming so I was inspired to use that line for my pins. Of course I had to be a dork and do them all different which seemed to take forever. Next time I'm making em all the same.

These are my project life cards. I used an A*Muse stamp set on them and a Lori Whitlock file for the postcard base, the heart is a wood veneer I ordered online. I was really happy with how well the white A*Muse embossing powder works.

During my search for Minnie Mouse images I fell in love with this  vintage Minnie. I just had to make something featuring her and all her vintage cuteness. A coordinating bottle cap necklace and earring set fit the bill!

~

I was having so much fun, I decided to make a couple more. So for my Pixar project I made a Monsters, Inc themed necklace. The bead on the bottom reminds me of some kind of freaky monster eye and my boyfriend really liked it on there so how could I say no?! lol

I just LOVE Monsters, Inc. and the image is from one of my favorite scenes between Boo and "Kitty".....

~

Last but not least, I wanted give my foster mom a handmade Mothers Day gift. She just happens to love Disney and Minnie Mouse is her fave. Killing two birds with one stone, for my Disney project I made her a Minnie monogram bottle cap necklace.

**Blog Candy!**
If you'd like to be entered to win the Monsters, Inc necklace become a follower of my blog and leave a comment telling me what your favorite Disney or Pixar movie scene is.

Paper Girls First Swap

My friend Lameka started a swap group on Facebook for sophisticated swappers. Well not really sophisticated, lol it's for swappers who do GOOD work and like sending out QUALITY items. If you've been in a swap before, I'm sure you know what I am talking about. I've been in some doozies where most of the stuff ended up in the 'round file'. SMH

Anyway the group is a lot of  fun and the members are quite talented. We just finished our first swap. There were two.....Project Life Cards and Masculine Birthday Cards. I did the birthday cards since I don't do Project Life. Yet. LOL

Most anyone who knows me, knows I am in love with the mustache fad that is happening right now SO I decided to make my cards with a mustache of some sort. When I came across the mustache embossing folder I got last year I knew I had to use it! So with the embossing folder, some mustaches cut with my Pazzles Inspiration, some cardstock, stamps, some twine and my cards were born! And boy are they cute. I'm so NOT conceited when it comes to my crafts, but  I am really pleased with how they came out.

I Love Someone With Autism!

April is Autism Awareness Month!

I thought it was a great time to use the awesome "I love someone with Autism" file from Scraptastical Kreations.

I used an unpainted IKEA wooden frame along with the file (you can find it here: I <3 Someone With Autism) to make this altered frame in honor of my 12 year old son who is Autistic. It was really easy and fun to make. He liked it so much it is now on a shelf in his bedroom.

Materials Used:
Scraptastical Kreatsions - I <3 Someone With Autism file
Recollections Cardstock
IKEA - "RAM" wooden frame
Apple Barrel - "White" Acrylic Paint
Trendy Twine
Mod Podge - Matte
Glossy Accents

Thanks for stopping by. I hope I've inspired you today!
